I have a text conversation that I would like to email to myself. I have worked out how to email the final message but I want the whole conversation.

How can I do this, or can I print them out?

Thanks. Can you explain in words of one syllable how to do this? I'm pretty sure I have Google on my phone.

Ask you need to do is install the app
    Open it up
    Go to settings
    Look for "cloud synchronisation"
    Then "SMS Archiving"
Select an option either Dropbox, evermore, Google drive, email them to yourself, out to an SMS export.
Pick one and enter your login details
Then fine it a while to sync everything.

    Then open Google drive
Look for a folder called "MySMS" and the sms are sorted my month then each contact will have its own HTML file filled with all the messages.

Got mysms. It wants me to pay a premium to use dropbox - I can't see a price anywhere.

Found an app called Textra sms and installed this free. I think I have saved my text conversation to dropbox. Will check computer later when I get home.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Textra doesn't have any SMS backup facility built-in. (I know, I have the Pro version and have just checked). What it does is to put a copy of messages in the standard Android message database so any other backup utility can make backups.

I use SMS Backup & Restore and allow it to save to Google drive (as well as locally, for copying elsewhere).

    Another option ....

Take a 'screen-shot' by holding power and volume-down buttons simultaneously.
This is then automatically saved to your 'photos' and you can e mail it wherever you like.

    :)

This won't work as I want the whole conversation which is 24 texts, and they won't fit on one page.

    Thanks, Bod.

I remember you helping me a couple of years ago on the parking ticket forum. You give good advice!

I've already used Textra to email the conversation I wanted to keep, so I now have it in my sent items, by inbox and dropbox!

I only wanted to keep one conversation. Most of my texts are just plain dull, and I'm happy to delete them.
