Morning all,
Uncle has a lap top running W10, he has always used Outlook Express, he wants to change to another provider on his new laptop, how do I/we export all his email address's from OE to a new email provider? if its simple I/we will have a go, if not he will have to do them one at a time!!

Thanks in advance

I assume you mean to export the email contacts / address book?

This week uncs old desktop computer went pop I think it sounds terminal so now he cant use his Outlook express account.
New Outlook was downloaded on to his new laptop but his contacts haven't come down with it, how does he re-install contacts?
I assumed as I did with Yahoo when you download the provider that all your ino and contacts came with it.

As unc lives in Devon I live in Hampshire I am relaying this info as he tells me on the phone he is 79 and not very techie and has never had a laptop either.

I hope the above makes sense.

    Thanks in advance.

I assume he downloaded and installed Outlook on the laptop, which would not have access to the desk top in order to grab the Outlook Express contacts. If the desk top has gone pop then there is no way to transfer the contacts. If the desk top can be fired up, then open Outlook Express and click on File, Export, contacts, save to a memory stick and then reverse the process for the new lappie.

It really depends upon what has gone wrong with his old PC.
If the disk is not damaged (or files can be recovered from it) there is a good chance to resolve the problem.
You really need to find out what exactly the symptoms are and post on here to get more support. It might turn out that the PC is easily fixed or it's hard drive can be linked externally to the new laptop. Not easy for sure if you do not have the machine to hand though but there is maybe someone on the area of your uncle who is reasonably computer literate?
