Tracking/ Wheel Alignment Report

http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f350/craigzodiac/Capture_zpsvsjbruk6.jpg

I had 4 new tyres fitted at the weekend and tracking done. Does the above report seem acceptable? Surely all actual should now be green. Or is there a reason why it may not be possible to achieve?

Thanks

    The rear toe isn't adjustable.

The cross-camber is the only other out-of-spec - and it's so small an amount out that I wouldn't worry about it. Both of the individual fronts are well within spec.

Toe is the amount each wheel points in or out from parallel, looking down from above.
Camber is amount each wheel points or out from vertical, looking from the front or rear.
Castor is the amount that the steering axis differs from vertical, looking in from the side.

So your left rear wheel has slightly too little toe-in - 12/60ths of a degree, rather than a minimum of 17/60th - leading to a total of 33/60ths of a degree, rather than 34/60ths minimum.

While each front wheel is individually within spec for camber, the combination is 36/60ths of a degree top-out rather than a maximum of 30/60ths.

Front toe is the most common adjustment, and the only adjustment that would normally be carried out.
  • Thanks helps clear it up. Just not nice looking at the report with all the red without a description.

The "Actual" figures are the post-alignment figures.
The "Before" figures are as the car was before they started work.

Do you know for a fact the rear toe cannot be adjusted? Yes, they really "should" all be green, otherwise what's the point in measuring it? I had my Octavia done and the only thing that can't be adjusted was the Castor.
  • Of course, this all depends on whether what you asked for was 'tracking' i.e. basic adjustment of toe to make sure front wheels point in the right direction, or 'four wheel alignment' i.e. full check and adjustment of geometry on all four corners.

    Tracking - £20
    Alignment - £60+

Yes. The 207 just has a very simple rear torsion beam.
