Elona - I'm so pleased for you! It's been a slog all year and now I can imagine you being ready for the future. Well done on being so positive.

I made the 10.15 ferry to Portavadie, left in brilliant sunshine. The trip is only a short half hour across to the other side of the mainland where there is a large hotel and spa complex along with a beautiful marina. Once there I mooched around the shop and managed to find a perfect present for a friend's birthday on Wednesday. By that time the rain was chucking it in spades so I headed back to the ferry port and home. Once across the water the sun was out again! Anyway, I posted off the birthday present in time.

Just had lunch and going to settle down with my book.

    Afternoon all,

Sneaking a few minutes on here while DGS is asleep. He's been in a bit of a grumpy mood today but lots of jigsaws (his favourite) have been done and some painting.

I enjoyed my meal out with my old school friends-we were down to 5 in the end but it didnt really matter.Lots of chinwagging going on.I didnt sleep well last night though-different conversations going round in my head ;)

Weather fairly glum, rained all afternoon & evening.Ikept going into the cellar last night to see if we had any water in but so far so good. Our downstairs loo wont stop running with water, its only just over 6 months old so DH will be ringing the supplier today. Its so handy when the grandchildren are here.

Probably breaded fish tonight for tea for everyone else,I think I still have a fish pie from a recipe out of the BSD.Its in the deepest depths of the freezer.Got to admit the diet slipped yesterday with my lunch out,I had roasted potatoes and a trio of ice creams, then had the munchies last night :o

Anyway better go and wake the munchkin or he'll be up late.
Elona, glad your kitchen is nearly done, you sound like you've been doing as many jobs as us- except our house hadnt been bodged,it just hadnt been touched for donkeys years & parts of the upstairs were def unsafe. At least DH is a builder and does a lot of things himself apart from electrics.
Have a good day all x

    Afternoon all
I didn't get chance to post this morning I ran out of time.
It's been a bit changeable here weatherwise, but it's sunny now.
I came home a had snooze unfortunately some muppet woke me up, phoning to ask if I'd answer some questions. I'm registered with TPS but it doesn't affect those companies phoning from abroad.
I have no idea what's for tea, hubby is out meeting one of his brothers so he may have eaten already, if not I'll find something in the fridge/freezer.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.

Good afternoon all, did my healthy living walk this morning and as it goes from the local library I was lucky to spot a book I had been after on the shelf so snapped that up.

Lunch was left over boiled eggs that DD gave me to take home last night I made bowl of egg mayo and stuck some sweet chilli sauce in as well it Was lovely on some rice cakes with carrot and coriander soup. The rest of it will go in my salad for dinner tonight I dug a small bit of rump steak out of the freezer to have as well so thats tonight sorted.

Fingers crossed for the England team tonight, I bet the shops will be deserted :) No shopping needed for me this week I am still working my way through my food cupboards.

Fed up with the changeable weather, one minute its bright and the next its overcast. Still Wimbledon is on so fingers crossed we do well in that at least 14 British players playing this year

    Cheers chums
