Recommend me a hotel in Budapest please

So I've gone and booked a trip to Budapest and am now looking for a hotel.

I don't want a hostel or an apartment, but I don't want to pay over the odds either.

When I've looked on a number of hotel search engines such as Trivago, I'm baffled by how many hotels there are. Just can't decide.

If anyone has any recommendations, it would be much appreciated :)

Hi, I was there in 2013 and stayed in the Inn Side Hotel Kalvin House, on B&B basis.
It had a perfect location, and it was normal - not too cheap, not too expensive.

    Go to hotels.com.

    Type in your dates.

Sort by price low to high. Filter to minimum 4.0 average review rating.

Then cross reference to recent tripadvisor reviews until you find the cheapest hotel in the right location with the best reviews.

Then book via Quidco or topcashback.

The Boscolo Hotel is gorgeous, quite luxurious, but a little way out.

There's a tram stop right outside, though and the Hop-on bus is just round the corner. I'd stay there again in a flash.

  • Thanks all. I did find, what I'm hoping is a really nice hotel.

Yup I know there are websites where I can search for hotels, but I was asking for personal recommendations.

Well, the Boscolo, which I recommended, is absolutely beautiful. Not far out, but by a tram stop.

It's the best hotel I've ever stayed at.
