wine codes for tesco

I experienced a similar problem for an order I put through for a friend. Instead of the normal detailed invoice that I normally get my friend just received a checkout receipt which was for the price of the wine less 10%. No delivery was charged and no £20 off voucher applied. I rang up customer services on his behalf and asked why this had happened. They confirmed he should have been charged had the £20 off voucher applied and said they would refund the £15 difference to his credit card and send an email confirming this within 2 or 3 minutes. This confirmation still has not come through... then I saw your post... so Tesco may be clamping down. Even so it was strange to get a crappy till receipt instead of a proper invoice.

Received delivery with £10 discount. Unfortunately I had ordered 2003 Gold award wine, but received 2004 NOT Gold award wine. Same make just 1 year out. Wasn't told by the driver, and nothing indicated on the reciept. The box doesn't have a year on it. 10 bottles of the wine were drunk at a party, before I noticed. Only 2 bottles left now, I am raging!!! phoned the 0845 number to be told that the warehouse didn't have what I ordered, so it was replaced, but that the store or the driver should have told me. They said they will ask why I wasn't told. I don't think this will be of any use to me though!!!

Happened to me last monday. Cotes de Villages Preference. Ordered the gold medal 2003 still shown (today) on the site, got the 2004 - Ok but much inferior to the 2003. No-one said a word when it was delivered.

I think I will create hell with them and see what comes out in the wash. I might try and push for a refund or some vouchers!

I can't get any of these codes to work on the 'Extra' Site. Any help gratefully received!!!

They are for use in the Wine section under the Extra banner. One of my family successfully used the code last week and had the wine delivered today.

Not sure why your question made you 'LOL' though.

I thought I would let you know that I received my wine delivery this morning and all the correct ones were delivered.

Also, they have honoured the £20 discount code!!!! - so I am well pleased. :j

Ordered our wine last Sunday, used the £20 code and delivered today no problems and they had let us use the £20 voucher

I think the problem I had and that of another MSE-er were when we used the £20 voucher during the week when there was 10% off all wine for a week - so got 2 discounts. Any used since that week seem to be okay.

Has anyone noticed Tescos deal of the day.
Good Whisky, Vodka, Gin and Baileys for £50.
Thought I would order it and use the whisky for fathers day.

The checkout states that you need to order 12 bottles!

Their email doesn't state this.

So I have just ordered 3 lots and used the £20 off voucher.

I will only take delivery of 1 lot and then argue about misleading advertising.

I will see what happens tomorrow night.
