  • Thanks for the £20 code. I bought 18 bottles of hardy's crest and 6 bottles of some cheap rubbish that will do me fine. After the £20 pounds of and with postage it came to slightly over £59. Because it ws the first time I have used Tesco Wine Extra I will also recieve 1000 clubcard points which can be used for deals (equal to £40). Not bad 24 bottles of wine for the equivalent of £20.

My dad was so impressed he bought 24 bottles of Hardy's Crest at £65 - he's got more money than me - said he would use the points towards his yearly Sherrings holiday.

I think for best value you only need to buy 3 cases of Hardy's Crest. For the cheapest possible wine I noticed that you can buy 4 cases of Calloway Crossing for a shade over £36 delivered - £1.50 per bottle! In the end went for 1 case of Calloway, 1 case of Hardys Voyage and 1 of Hardys Crest - £2 per bottle on average.... Had to set up a new account though in my mum's name as couldn't use the code again.

Thanks for the £20 off voucher! I usually do my food shopping on Tesco online but havent do any wine shopping before on Extra.
Delivery is a bit long, 9th June is the earliest slot that came up compared to next day for food. :(
Should i get 1000 clubcard points as well as its my first wine order?

Yes the code is still valid today, June 4th, got the £20 discount plus the 10% off. Delivery isn't until June 13th so I have to set up all the reminders, computer, mobiles etc because I am bound to forget.

How do I know for certain that I will get my extra 1000 points. How, I wonder, do they know my account number?

Hope this order is not going to mess up my coupons when the wine club magazine comes out :)

Advice required if possible - I used the £20 off £50 voucher during the 10% off week. Delivery is expected tomorrow - but Tesco have just emailed to say that one of the 3 cases I ordered is not available. They have not given me a revised price so I don't know if the £20 off voucher will be applied or not. In the past when ordering from the Groceries department vouchers have been still appplied if goods have been out of stock. Does anyone know what happens in the Wine section? I would rather have a substition if the voucher is not going to be applied...but I guess as delivery is tomorrow it's too late to do anything anyway

Take from Online Vouchers: The Rules and Guidance
    The 'Source' convention

When you post codes, each and every time please note the 'source' of these codes and the fact that they can be used by all (if they cannot be used by all, but just a closed user group ( then unless that is a large group e.g. only NHS workers, in which case state this explicity) then don't post it.

If someone has not put the source, please do not use them. You could be committing fraud. Firms are becoming more sensitive to misuse of their vouchers.

The best thing to do is question the poster over the source. If no reasoned answer is forthcoming, either ignore the post, or better still report it to the Abuse Controller.

Was this in reply to my question? Or a general point (which could be posted on almost all posts in this forum)?

I was only questioning what happened when Tesco had no stock (even with a validly obtained voucher) of one of the lines when ordering from the wine section. Is the voucher still applied or not if the resultant order is less than the £50 for the voucher to kick in? I guess my option is to refuse the delivery if not - but unfortunately somebody else will be signing on my behalf so could do with leaving them instructions on what to do.

    Hi Searcher2,

Nope this was nothing to do with your post. Sorry, I should have made that clearer. I posted it as some users have not posted the source of the code. Any codes that have been posted and are breaking the rules will be removed.

Once they delivered to me 12 of the 18 I ordered as one wine was out of stock but they still applied the voucher.
Another time they emailed to say one case was out of stock but when they delivered the next day I received the complete order.
    Hope this helps.
