Buying family flights to Bali - which card is best

We need to buy 4 x flights to Bali in May (via Singapore for a stay over) Ideally flying with Singapore airlines, but open to other options.
We need to purchase said flights on a credit card and we want to pay these off before we go.
We are debt free but unable to save at the moment. I don't think an airline credit would be suitable as we would need the points first to make it worth while. Any suggestions on which card to get the best deal and the best useful rewards.

Will you be buying return flights, or will you be buying the return tickets while you are out there?0

Bear in mind that airlines and travel agents usually charge a fee for payment by credit card.0 -

What airline do you usually fly, I know you said you want the flight with Singapore Airlines which is part of Star Alliance of which you can get a United Airlines or Lufthansa credit card for but it really helps to understand who you fly with usually and how frequently you fly.
Alternatively you could go for a hotel card such as Hilton or Starwood which will earn you reward stays in hotels that may be more beneficial.0
