Hi, hoping someone can help I bought an item in April 14 on the Argos store card I paid a few payments back it was only £40 I do remember not paying the August amount due to no statements I had been paying online and at that time my partner started a new job so had no money to pay this but in sept and oct 14 I noticed a couple of payments to Argos which they said were done by debit but defo wasn't me who paid them as we had had no statements for few months so forgot to pay the rest that was outstanding it was prob about £10 owed, well we spoke to lloyds and to Argos and they are disputing those 2 payments, we didn't do pay these amounts and they are sayin they never took it so fast forward from October 14 with no comminunication whatsoever we get a letter from eversheds so call them and explain and now they have passed it back to Argos for us to PROVE those payments which we did back in oct by sending them the bank statements and ref numbers etc..the problem now is we are in an Iva so my partner no longer has that bank account and why should he need to Prove it when he sent everything in to them in oct 14.....what can we do now ?

Just show them the bank statements again proving what you have paid.
Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.0 -
OP please can you put some punctuation in your post, or if that is too much, perhaps bullet points?0

I'm a little confused about the two payments you say were definitely not done by you?0 -
Im confused.
You say you didn't pay the August amount as you did not receive a statement. Yet you must have logged in without receiving a statement to check the account in September/August to notice the two payments you did not make.
We're the two incorrect payments recovered, thus leaving you owing August/September & Octobers payment?
Seems like you still owe money on the account.0
