Estate agents in Liverpool

I'm wanting to sell my house, has anyone got an opinion on who are best estate agents in Liverpool for value for money, speed of sale (obviously I will have my price at a realistic figure for the area - £119,000) communication etc
I've had several around this week - Acumen, Move, Jones Chapman, Alpha-Move and Venmore. They vary on price from £1,200 inc vat to £1,850 plus vat. They all seem to promise the same kind of things when they give you their sales talk but obviously some will be better than others.

I would avoid Jones and Chapman with a 10 foot barge pole, but then again sales may be better than lettings!
Have you tried Clive Watkins? You might find a better service sticking with a good local agent (which these are) rather than a larger company. Not sure about cost but you can haggle! I think their initial tie in period is longer than others, make sure you read the contract properly.0 -
The best way to decide is, over the weekend. You or a friend pop in each of the estate agents you are thinking of choosing. Pretend to be a buyer looking for a house like yours, see how they treat you. That is how your potential buyers will be treated.
The person who came out and valued your Property, is very unlikely going to be the one selling it. It will be the staff in the office, the best agent who performs the best should win your business.0 -
We tried to book a viewing in Liverpool with Jones Chapman once, took about a week and then they cancelled. I did actually ask them if the seller knew this was how they marketed the property. No experience on the others other than to suggest avoiding anyone affiliated with Countrywide.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0
