You might want to search the board for 'brexit'. Yes, there are threads on this very first page about people pulling out of deals.
Glad to hear you're not one of them
Just hope the chain holds together (if there is one)!

Yes. I decided i didn't need more bog roll this morning despite the supermarkets generous offer on 2 for 1.0 -
Good on you. You're buying a home, to live in. Everybody has to live somewhere and you've secured yourself a place that you can feel is your home.0

We are in a short chain due we were due to exchange this week but our buyer decided they wanted a last minute survey which took place today. It feels a bit like a stalling tactic though if Im honest! Surveyor joked he will give it a 'pre-brexit' valuation. Our buyer is moving to france so Im feeling very nervous about it all, even more so now!0

I am buying a house, sent the mortgage agreement off yesterday. No chain. We're living with parents and our seller was letting the house out.
I am not going to use brexit as an excuse to reduce what I am paying for the property and I am still going ahead as I need a house to live in.
Everyone is just running scared because things are so uncertain. Life has to go on.0 -

Well done. Hope all goes through smoothly for you.

Same position as me, Sam.
It's far to early to say what will happen with house prices so I'm carrying on with my purchase as before.0 -
We are also continuing, just hope those way below us in the chain don't reduce and then it will have a knock on effect up the chain...

I am certainly not pulling out. We are not in a chain, we are FTB and our buyers are moving abroad.
This is my forever home, somewhere I can bring my children up, its more than just an investment for me. That said I am kicking myself I didn't take advantage of a longer term fix on the Mortgage but really all house buying is a risk.
I'm confident in the house and the area and to be brutally honest I cannot wait to move in. People pulling out is just going to cause more uncertainty.0
