Check any contract you have to see if there is a clause preventing you from leaving negative public reviews.

It has become very commonplace now....

And how exactly would they enforce that?

Breach of contract still requires a loss

Hey guys thanks for all your comments, well I have a result. the financial ombudsman ruled in my favor over messing up the exchange day, so the law firm will give me compensation. It still bewilders me - they persisted and argued - and they even changed their story on that issue and started blaming me - well either way they have been found wanting. The law firm complaint process in itself was not very good, they just kept arguing and arguing and dismissing my concerns.

With leaving facts that's why I was going to leave an opinion they cant disprove that can they?! How can that be challenged. Personally Its not right that other people are not aware of this. We do this in other walks of life, restaurants, hotels etc

I think just because they are more savvy on the law they feel they can do what they want.

Actually it's usually the fear from the individual is less savvy and the solicitors threats must be real.

I don't agree - because I have not received any defamation case they were just trying to scare me - since I won the case they have asked me politely to take the review down.

    thank you though everyone

    You have misunderstood.

I'm saying that individuals who have no legal knowledge will assume the solicitors are correct. Often there is a belief that solicitors cannot lie, which is absolutely incorrect.

They were trying to scare you. That's my point.
