The job losses happened around here years ago. Engineering manufacturing moved to the cheaper Poland but maintaining their local sales area and don't bother applying for a job in the local food factories if you don't speak Polish. Maybe if the Poles go back home the job situation will improve.

Fair enough, it's not what had been reported earlier. You can bet they're working on it though ;)

They denied they have started to do it, they did not deny they are GOING to do it.

sometimes what they don't say is as important as what they do!

Knives out for Corbyn already. No surprise. He was basically anonymous in the campaign. Labour do not represent their voters anymore, and Corbyn kind of represents ... who exactly?

Funny isn't it. Corbyn is *fairly* anonymous and is most likely getting the boot, whereas on the other side Theresa May popped up twice to my recollection and is a strong candidate for the top job.

If any companies do have to shed jobs after this they should start with leave voters first. Fair's fair.

Siemens (my OH works for them) sent email today saying nothing happening "imminently" and would be examining their options but they very clearly said Wednesday they wanted UK to stay in EU. Reading between the lines I think there may be a move or two on the cards. They employ a lot of UK staff and invest a lot in the UK. Who knows though. They will be watching negotiations I guess.
