Post office wont let anyone buy currency either. I go to Portugal next week.
Thankfully I got my euros a few weeks ago!

Bit harsh to call it a 'total joke', there is huge volatility in the market at the moment.
What is happening is that the system cannot get a quote from the market makers. Hence why you can't buy or sell shares.

hl didn't work for me either however iii was down for just about 15 mins when the markets opened, after that I also couldn't place an order however limit orders worked fine
You'd expect both to work flawlessly0 -
