It's really interesting to me to see the uncertainty that this vote has called and even the brightest on this forum (I've seen some great answers from some of you previously) are stumped and have completely different opinions from one another.

If you're looking at the property as a long term thing/'forever' home then whatever happens to house prices in the future is pretty irrelevant.
If you're just looking at a short term purchase or your purchase is more of a financial investment than a lifestyle investment then I think you should wait and see how things settle.

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

That's because nobody actually knows what will happen. There's no historical trend as this balls up is a one off event.

Our plan was to purchase this as a starter home whilst we save up for a deposit on our next house and then to rent this start home out.

Why would house prices fall ? unless circumstances force people to sell , no one is going to sell in a low market.

So by your reasoning prices never fall?

    What a silly silly comment.

If you was my buyer I would be gutted! Changing the offer doesn't just impact you but also everyone else up a chain.

This type of knee jerk reaction creates panic and could start putting us on the wrong path.

It's only been a short time of the results being announced there is no clear cut nor factual evidence/reasoning to start dropping offers

Errrrr...do you really think you're above capitalism because that's how it works so don't be so naive/ sanctimonious.
