Morning everyone,

Bright and sunny here but a keen wind blowing at the moment, boy did it rain yesterday evening, like a biblical torrent!

So sorry that DH didn't get the job HH will keep fingers crossed that something else comes up. Many congrats on getting the Deputy Manager job RR you will get the experience and knowledge & can then decide to move on at a later date if you want!

Day off today, we are off into town to look at fridge freezers as ours is making a lot of noise and I do worry it's not that economical anymore. We have our house savings that haven't been touched for a while, my DOH has done his research into models etc so feel prepared for the purchase!

Just watching the news coverage on the referendum, turbulent times ahead I fear, apparently it took Greenland two years to sort out an exit and their only fear more or less was fish :rotfl:

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Marie x

Have a good day everyone, take care folks x

Morning :hello:

redruby Commiserations  And at the same time – Congratulations :T :D

Happy Birthday meanmarie :bdaycake:

We had two very worn out dogs the other day, they played for two solid hours :D Milo was funny when he arrived, he'd never seen chickens before and was fascinated. He watched them for a few minutes then did his squeaky bark to get their attention, they ignored him :D He (well, his owner!) brought round a bag of broad beans for me, I gave her some eggs in exchange.

It cost me £41.52 to vote last night, lol. We both went with Scampi, we took it in turns to go in. I was outside playing with him and he did his usual head down and scoot across the grass for a couple of minutes. I gave him a treat for not barking at a passing bike and had blood all over my hand – he'd sliced his nose open on broken glass  I was holding a big handful of tissue on Scampi's nose while mr tru was ringing the vet and picking up bits of glass. He was great with the vet til she tried to touch his nose, he wasn't allowing that, lol. He needed a muzzle with a little hole at the end so she could examine him properly. He'd cleaned himself up well and though it was quite deep, he was lucky not to need stitches. He'd have needed a general anaesthetic for that, purely for the safety of the staff. He had an antibiotic jab and was his usual self by the time we got home. He sighed a lot though, because I wouldn't throw his ball for him :D

Not sure what's happening today, mr tru messes up any plans I make on his day off so I haven't bothered to plan :D

Photogenic Debt-free and Proud!
Goooood morning and happy Friday!

HH - Sorry to hear that your DH didn't get the job. Another opportunity will come.
Gers - Dash cam is a great idea. Always wanted one.
Ruby - Sorry to hear you didn't get the job but you were offered a promotion
tru - Sorry to hear about poor scampi. Hope he feels better.

It's unlike me, but I'm shattered this morning. Late night last night with work so desperate to get home and chill - no gym. Might even have some unhealthy food which is unlike me, it's one of those days.

Looking forward to an equally chilled weekend apart from the house warming party my friends have. Desperate to spend as little as possible.

Anyways, have a good day everyone :)
• Just popping back on to wish MEANMARIE a happy birthday.

REDRUBY sorry you didn't get the job but well done on being offered deputy.

HESTER chin up I am sure DH will find another job in time.

TRU Poor Scampi, but poorer you with the bill!

GERS Savour every tiny bite of your first strawberry!

• Morning ((((((((((hugs))))))))) if you need one.

HH sorry OH did not get the job, it is tough at 60.

RR sorry you were disappointed too but well done on the deputy job.

Well so the vote is out, to be honest I am not surprised, the debate has gone on long enough, the people have spoken, lets hope we get out with
little damage.

Last nights episode with the elderflower and the carpet, I spent ages walking over the towels in bare feet to try and soak up as much of it as I could, this morning it is almost dry and not too sticky, but I will go over it with the steamer and try and get the rest out.

DD1 is due this morning to put up the plastic green house, she said she will be here before lunch so I need to get my skates on and start the cleaning, will do the carpet first. I also need to steam clean the kitchen floor.

Bye for now.

good morning all HH sorry your OH didn't get the job
Well done to RR for getting one though
Tru your poor little dog
Gers Naked in Scotland !!!!

Well the voting is done, and the people have spoken .Politicians will be frothing at the mouth for awhile, but hey that's what democracy is.

The electorate deciding what they want for a change instead of overpaid MPs. MP saying that the electorate are stupid and misguided is not a good idea as people have long memories and to be told you are thick and don't know what you are doing is to say the least insulting.
It will be interesting times ahead I think. Inflation ,(probably) as shops will blame it on the vote So I shall be shopping carefully to make sure I'm well provisioned in advance.Perhaps folk with buy more British stuff and our farmers may get a better price for their crops ,who knows .
I do hope Aldi's and Lidls don't pull out though :):):):)
