To celebrate the brand new GemArts Masala Festival in July we’re offering one lucky reader the chance to win a pair of tickets to Shri Sriram’s Just a Vibration at Sage Gateshead on 13 July, plus a copy of Just a Vibration on CD.
Just A Vibration brings together two distinctly diverse musical forms: Indian classical music and the traditional brass band. The brainchild of Shri Sriram, this exciting collaboration creates a new crossover musical vocabulary with its blend of intricate Indian melodies on Shri’s handcrafted bass guitar, and the booming magnificence of the brass band. This special performance at GemArts Masala Festival features the NASUWT Riverside Band, the highly accomplished Jasdeep Singh Degun on sitar, powerhouse drummer Marc Layton-Bennett and a guest appearance from Newcastle-based singer songwriter Kathryn Williams. The show at Sage Gateshead starts at 7.30pm.
