Problem with TSB 1% cashback credit card application

Hi all. I applied for the TSB Platinum credit card with the 1% cashback offer a week ago. As i'm a current account holder with them, it did say to apply within branch but I applied online as a new customer. Surprisingly, my application was referred with an email saying I should get a decision in 2 - 4 days. When I called yesterday to check the application, they said they were still working on it and would let me know in due course.
As its now been a week, do you think it would be best to cancel the current application and just go into a branch to apply as recommended on the site?

No. You'll likely end up with two searches and an automatic refusal on at least the second.0
