    Yes, presumably this is a replacement for the standard console rather than another model, so expect to see some good offers on the original

    The Xbox Scorpio is coming so I'd hold off on the slim for now if you're just upgrading, it will fall in price after the Scorpio comes out.

    Isn't the Scorpio 4k gaming ?

    If so then surely only worth having if 1 has a 4k tv or has the money to buy 1.

    As with mobile phones and all other technology... if you hold of and wait for the next best thing you'll be waiting forever.

    I think the Xbox One S looks good but no 4K TV (No real need yet...) so no upgrade from my Xbox One.

    Actually yes that is correct my bad, I looked it up further and found this article for anyone interested, a few sections from it;

    However, since the basic purpose of Xbox Scorpio is to allow players to play games at 4K resolution on console, Microsoft suggests you only wait for the new console if you have or are planning to buy a 4K display. If not, you should buy an Xbox One S instead. After a Eurogamer writer told Xbox boss Phil Spencer during an interview that he had a 1080p TV, Spencer clarified that upgrading to Scorpio won’t do him any good, saying:
    “You should buy [an Xbox One S], because Scorpio is not going to do anything for you. Scorpio is designed as a 4K console, and if you don’t have a 4K TV, the benefit we’ve designed for, you’re not going to see.

    Clearly, you can buy Scorpio, and if and when you decide you want to buy a 4K television to take advantage of the increased performance, obviously the console will be ready for you.

    Spencer later clarified his comments, saying that dynamic resolution games will run better on Scorpio, and downsampled 4K games will “look different than the game running at 1080p,” meaning that gamers with 1080p TVs would still get to experience an overall better performance. However, the point he made earlier is pretty clear: 4K is one of the main functions of Microsoft’s new hardware, and what good is a 4K console if your TV can’t run 4K. Still, all the focus on “4K TV” side of things is a little odd, since there is a VR side as well, which, apparently is an important part of the Scorpio.

    Not sure where I heard or read it but apparently the controllers and other accessories will be usable with scorpio which is a good move.

    Holding off for Project Scorpio, same as some reasons above.

    This sums up all my reasons for me:

    I don't see the point in upgrading now, only to upgrade again in just over a years time. Plus I'll be getting my hands on a PS4 in October simply just to play No Man's Sky.

    I also won't mind getting a 4K TV by the end of next year either for the new Xbox. I still have a really crap HD TV in my front room, so long overdue a new one to take advantage of the newer tech coming.

    No Man's Sky is going to be so awesome :D, can't wait for that. I actually got PS+ in anticipation of that and a few other games (previously just had Xbox gold). I really want to be able to connect to the Atlas.

    At the minute I cant see myself upgrading to the "S" or Scorpio, well I may do but a year or 2 after scorpio is released, hopefully I'll have a 4k TV by then to make it worth having a Scorpio.
