Help Please!!!! Internet Exploer V6

Options
I'm running windows xp using Internet Explorer version 6 with BT broadband.

I can access all web sites, and navigate inside the site with no problems, eg go to lloyds bank and access any pages inside that site, but when I go to personal logon which needs my id & password I cant get the web page, this happens with any site which requires me to log in ??

I've checked my cookies and made sure I accept everything, switched off the windows firewall and checked that I'm not getting the web pages from cache by selecting update every visit to the page...but I still cant get any logon pages!!!

Any ideas anyone....all help greatly accepted...thanks

open a command prompt (you can select run=> type "command")
type=> tracert http://..(put the link of a webpage you can't open)

This is using protocal to directly ask your modem to access the page, you are bypassing internet explorer 6 ect.

if you can't connect (i think it say's timed out) then it's not anything to do with you computer.

Contact your isp and tell them you can't acces certain pages, copy some of the links and they should sort it out.

I would switch your firewall back on also.

It's worth trying the tracert command again to make sure the adress was correct.
Go to your ISP website and goto the support section. Contact tech support and say you can't acess these pages but you can with another ISP.

    Has it ever worked?

In IE: Tools - Internet Options - Delete Cookies, then Delete Files (tick the Delete all offline content box)

BTW drop the http:// from the tracert command and it should work:
    tracert www.moneysavingexpert.com
