It seems like tickets for Northern Ireland matches were difficult to get and I'm not sure if tickets to the last 16 matches lasted 5 seconds, however did many here have success?

Oh well. What a way to go.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

I got to the 3 Northern Ireland group matches but then had to come home because my wife's knee gave way.
We were based in Lyon and everything was fantastic. Friendly people, wonderful host, good food and almighty craic. We would go back to Lyon.
Our 69th trip abroad and we enjoyed every minute.0 -
I see the Northern Ireland and Republic fans have been given a medal from the city of Paris. The nicest and best fans.:T0

Done the lot, Nice >>> Lyon >>> Paris, all 4 games, fantastic trip and experience, but ridiculously expensive at times - especially in Paris! Taxi's, beer and food.
Taxi from Nice Stadium to Nice centre (20mins) 90 euro. Taxi in Paris to airport (30mins) 70 euro. Paris street front, G&T and a Vodka - 28 euro. Paris caf!, 2 omelettes and 2 beer - 50 euro. Beer (a staple diet amongst NI fans) ranged in price from 5 euro (if you were very lucky), to 15 euro, averaging about 8. And don't get me started on the hotels...
I realise Paris is a big city, and we had a great time, but some of the French were seriously getting the arm in...
Prior to this I hadn't been to France for 20 years, and would like to go back if it wasn't for the high cost of living, can anyone confirm that this is the norm?
PS. Where do I go to get my medal ;-)0 -

You have to share so you might get to hold it for half an hour once every 5 years.:D0 -

Been in France the last three years (Nice then two years with Eurocamp), it's very much the norm. Fine for us doing self-catering as we don't have much chance to go out to 'nice' restaurants with two small kids but even mid-range restaurants were pricey, hard to just get a decent meal at a decent price (all a bit too fancy for us)0 -

TOO MUCH!!
Pre tournament: Flights, Hotels, Trains, Match Tickets - £1,100
Spending money in France: Food, Drink, Taxi's, Metro etc (plus extra 3 nts hotel and flight home due to Wales game) - £1,700!
£3k Credit Card bill due paid Monday
The price of some basic stuff was just ridiculous.

Moscow is stinking expensive, not sure about the rest of Russia. Plus you also have to factor in the cost of a visa plus a trip over to London to give them your fingerprints...0
