Car Insurance - Declaring damage to rental car abroad when renewing UK car insurance.

I have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Spain where I hired a rental car for the two weeks.
The rental car was damaged while legally parked overnight. It was presumably side swiped with damage to a rear door and rear wing panel. There were no witnesses and no details were left.
The repair costs are about £400 (the excess on the rental insurance was about £800) so I have paid that £400 to the Hire Company.
Fortunately I had car hire excess insurance for the 2 weeks rental period so I will be reclaiming the £400.
Do I need to report this no fault loss to my UK car insurance company immediately?
Do I need to disclose it when renewing my UK car insurance next month?
I cannot see anything in my current insurance policy about this.
I don't want to take any risks by not disclosing this if I am required to so do.
I doubt if it will make too much difference to my insurance renewal costs as otherwise I have maximum no claims.
Thanks

You are supposed to disclose all claims and losses
In this case although you consider yourself blameless it is a "fault" claim.
Check out the wording of your car hire excess policy. Many exclude any claims for less than the excess on your full policy0
