Columbus issue with Samsung Galaxy A3?

Picked up my 2011 Skoda Superb car on Friday and salesman kindly connected my phone for me as I'm not too au fait with this procedure, however every time I start the car all my contacts are 'deleted' from my phone, it also shows phone numbers for received texts where previously it showed names?

Car has Columbus system, phone is Samsung Galaxy A3.

If I switch car off phone reverts back to 'normal' after a reboot?

I hope I have explained my dilemma correctly, any advice appreciated.

It may need a software update. Take a look at

All of these systems are fairly new and largely untested in the real world. Best solution would be to take it to a Skoda dealer and ask their trained 'Columbus' tech to set it up for you again.
