    Morning everyone,

Very wet here but humid, yuck!

Hugs nmlc that sounds very scary for you, hope are on the mend now x
I too struggle at brekkie AOD as also don't like cereal. On the 5:2 now so Mon/Tues not a problem as I fast through to mid morning but rest of week do struggle. Weekends aren't so bad as have time for eggs, mushrooms etc but my go to standby are Kargs with peanut butter, keeps me full until lunch.
Work today and then not much else planned, going to vote this afternoon, will be interesting to see how busy it is as when we went for general election there was hardly a soul around? Guess this time tomorrow we will know.

Have a good day everyone, take care folks x

NMLC hope you are feeling better now, sounds horrendous x

I do eat cereals, but like to ring the changes, and have been eating those Belvita breakfast bars as they are quick, and when I am busy with my morning training it does save me some time, a pack of those and a coffee and it sees me full until lunchtime.

Big storm last night lots of crashes and flashes and the ground looks soaked today so perhaps the gardener won't arrive.Very humid and sticky and the rains not really freshened the air up much.
Will nip in to cast my vote on my walk this morning. also have to pop into the bank at some point and sort out a minor problem.I may go to the library as well en route .Busy morning here with lots of odd errands and jobs to do,but no food to buy fortunately.Slowly getting through the food mountain in the cupboards.
Hope everyone has a good day, glad the voting day is here at last and we may get a rest from all the 'experts' banging on all the time on TV.Its an important vote and it will go one way or another. What with the football and the referendum, normality seems to have gone out of the window in the media. Never mind Wimbledon next week may take some of the heat out of their sails :):):) and calm every one down a bit :):):)

Have a good day chums what ever you are doing

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Its very overcast, hope it does not rain, I have a load in the washer, also a loaf in the bread maker, off to Bingham as soon as OH is ready, library, Boots and Boyes then Aldi on the way home. We get to park in the centre of the town free!!

NMIC sorry to hear you were so poorly at the weekend hope you are feeling a bit better now. You will have to be caredul in the future. I am allergic to stings and bites, if I get bitten its straight to the Dr. We went to France on holiday a few years ago. I had only been there an hour or so and I got bitten by a horsefly, my leg swelled up from knee to ankle, a quick visit to the chemist sorted it out but it stoill took quite a time to go down. I always have anti histermines with me when we go away, the Dr gave me a script. A sting is a different matter, its 999 and blue lights all the way.

Right offsky to do some shopping, have a good day folks.

A bit of interference from me.

My heart has been going out to you, Coxy. I have 2 sons and remember the teen age years with a shudder. DS2 was a dream. He floated through life with a smile on his face. Probably he was up to no good but he was so easy to live with. Still is.
DS1 went from being a mischievous, engaging and loving little boy to an absolute monster once he hit adolescence. My children are adopted and I used to fantasize about DS1 's birth mother arriving at the door to reclaim her 'baby'.
I kept his bag packed just in case.

I just wanted to tell you that it all passes in time and you are very far from being the only mother who cannot believe that your well brought up child has behaved in such a disappointing way.
My children were also brought up in a loving, Christian family, though there was a period when it was difficult to remember that. Hang on in there. It will all come good in the end.

So many of you seem to be struggling with health problems. Love and hugs to you all.

    Back into lurkdom.

    x

ETA. They a are 47 and 44 now and I still look for signs of improvement!

    Morning all,

Nmlc......sorry to hear of your health problems, speedy recovery.

Glad to read of so many of you voting......I want you all to remain, but not my business, just feel that its a very important decision and hope that there is a highpoll, makes me mad when people dont bother to vote, gives an incorrect result ......sorry for rant!

DD3 currently on way back to Perth, should be there 6pmish, hope that she sleeps, she was very emotional leaving, so Mother had to be tough!

Sunny but cloudy here today, going to help DD4 with girls as they are so heavy for her to take downstairs at 7 months pregnant.

    Have a good day all

Just waiting for the boys to get in from school,I hope they make it before it chucks it down again.Looking very dark and overcast again, very sticky and humid as well.

Watched about half of Django Unchained on my Tivo box this morning whilst the gardener was here .He managed to get the lawn mowed which I didn't think he would do because of last nights storm.will watch the rest maybe tonight while knitting.

Rubbish book club book this month, not my cup of tea at all, The Coniston Case ,very thin story about a flower shop owner and a local DI who seem to solve cases between them Highly improbable as police officer of DI rank, or for that matter any rank wouldn't think to share a case with a civilian. Bit Miss Marpleish :):)

Did all my odd jobs and errands at least so up to date with everything for once.

Wading through the food stores again and have a good bit of spare cash in the food budget purse because of it :):):) end of the month next week as well :):)

    have a good afternoon chums

NMIC that sounds scary hope u are ok now.

Not a lot to report today. Went out early to vote then called at Coop. Got some fruit reduced.
Had a very pleasant afternoon with some friends at a local tearoom. We all have some form of disability and also most of us have children with additional needs so have lots to discuss. The cafe is on a place called the Roaches and we sat outside overlooking a nearby reservoir.

Better think about what to cook for tea soon.
Hugs to those who need/ want them

    Evening.

Hope you're feeling better now nmlc.

Busy day here too. By 10am I had two loads of washing hanging out, wrote and sent off two reports about students and filled all the bird feeders.

Took the patient to Oban and back. Fifty minutes drive each way and she was in and out in 15 mins. I didn't even get time to drink my coffee then I let her persuade me to take her to cast her vote as it was only half a mile away from her home.

The sun vanished about four'ish and the sky darkened but so far no more rain. I happily ran my vacuum over the living room, kitchen and utility room as well as the back hall.

    Now I'm done!
  • OH great joy......OH got a bottle of what he thought was sparkling water out to take our medication, undid the top, and it erupted all Oder the bedroom carpet. It was elderflower cordial I made 2 weeks ago, and it had sterted to ferment. I now have a bedroom carpet with a huge sticky sugary splodge on it. Put down towels and stamped on it to get as much of it out as I could, the sugar will never come out, so I guess that's the first two months holiday money down the pan, a new carpet., we are insured but I think we have to pay the first £200 of any claim.

We will have to move everything out of the bedroom, so no idea how we are going to do that, our bed weighs a ton and the wardrobe needs at least 2 strong men to move it, then it all has to be put back again once the chaps have finished. Aaarrgghhhh.
