Hurray, had a little bonus confirmed at work! Every little helps to get me back on track.
Nipped out at lunch today, bought only what I needed and all with cash.
Half sorted my childcare vouchers, system down to set up the regular payment.
DH home on time today so we both had an hour to play with DD before bedtime. Happy time!0 -
Another week survived! So very tired at the moment. Glad it's the weekend now.
Got my expenses back - felt a bit tight claiming 90p for one receipt but it all adds up. I wasn't sure if work would let me have the extra nursery fees back but they did, happy days. Ultimately if they didn't, then I would be unable to go on any business trips and my career would suffer. Glad they've helped me out.
Baby has learned to sit up all by herself! Chatterbox this week too, practising all of those sounds. Proud mummy! :T
Keeping a close eye on the bank account, getting all of the bills paid ready to save like fury in the new year. :money:0 -
Been thinking about getting our money working for us. I've closed one old credit card that had gone past the 0% period and paid off another ready to close. Ordered one new one and set up a tart alert ready to stooze with it. 27 months at 0%.
My plan is to build 2500 in my easy access saver then move it to a nationwide account if that's still going by then, so I can max out 5% for a year.
Also thought it might be fun to make saving more of a game. I've drawn out a big bingo board with loads of values on it, my plan is to make a payment a day, either to savings or mortgage. Just a bit of a laugh to keep me entertained. Think I will start in the new year.
Currently enjoying a snuggle nap with the small one, who is trying to cut her two front teeth in time for Christmas. She's now sleeping in her cot in her own room, no fuss at all. She's a good girl!0 -
What a horrible week. Fixing someone else's !!!! ups at work, little frustrated about the whole situation. However I'm off today so that's monday's problem now!
Had a very good no spend month, bought very little that I didn't need. couple of treats here and there.
One week until xmas! Waiting to see what father xmas brings and then we can assess what we need, what's in the sales and buy accordingly. It has bene interesting to hang on and wait for things instead of just getting them immediately. Makes you think about whether you do need them at all.
Cleaning today, then making a cake for MIL birthday. She will be so excited to see the small one, she has changed so very much!0 -
Finally decorated our bedroom! Now the small one has moved out into her own room, it's all ours again. Repainted and put out all of the nice things I had bought for us just after I gave birth. It looks fantastic! so happy with that.
Bought a new mattress protector - used two vouchers and then xmas money from MIL for the rest. Investing in a good nights sleep feels very positive.
Moved £51 over to my savings account, getting going on my big bingo game!0 -
