Warsaw or Gdansk in March complete madness?

I'm trying to plan a weekend break for my birthday in 2017. I suggested other places to my friend but she had already been and suggested Warsaw or Krakow (have already been there myself).

Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

I'd say that as it's for your birthday, you're the one who should choose really; and then maybe have another weekend break with your friend somewhere she wants to go :p

If you're thinking of Poland, Wroclaw is a really nice city and is pretty cheap in March.

Be a bit nippy, even in Venice and Trieste won't be that warm, the Bora hits hard.

I have done Krakow for my birthday in March and loved it. Even done Poland in November and December. Yes its cold but it makes the cellar bar culture nice and cosy. Also if you get any snow it can be really nice. Yes its unlikely to be warm but poland is great all year for different reasons.

Went to Warsaw last March and it was actually really pleasant Gfir couple of days, and then turned rainy and a bit misty for the last two days. Wasn't cold at all though. I love Warsaw and Krak!w. Next visit to

I have been sat in a bar on the Grand Canal Venice when it was just short of 20 degrees in March.;)

I went in Feb a few years ago, Sun and rain, just think its a bit more predictable later on. Trieste was like a different town come summer, lovely.
