The company I use to do my tax return for me

I'd this is a normal buy to let income then they are wrong. If you own and manage properties that are let out, then that is a business, w continually correct people,on these boards about this.

Buy to let is a business, mint comes with risks that are different to holding shares, bonds or similar, I think I'd get a new accountant if I were you.

It may be that others manage commercial property for you which is closer to investment income so it does depend in the specifics of your arrangements.

It appears I got the card. Getting emails now confirming I am on paperless statements and saying "when your new card arrives" and telling me how to activate it.

Pretty pleased as I thought Brexit might have negatively impacted on my chances.

Anyway was shown 0% chance on the eligibility calculator! It sucks! :grin.
  • Hello all

I was just rejected for a card that the eligibilty calculator gave me 8/10 for :(
I mean I know 8/10 offers no guarantees but it is quite a confident score so I fancied my chances.

    Use with caution :)

    Thanks

It means 8 out of 10 people are likely to be accepted, so 2 out of 10 will likely be declined. That's 20 out of a hundred, not bad odds but I wouldn't bet my house on being one of the 80 out of 100.

I guess you were one of the 20% - it doesn't make the tool any less useful.
