    He wasn't convicted of drink driving but the fact he was convicted of failing to provide a sample is evidence in itself. Whereas there is no evidence at all to back up your own accusation the cyclist was at fault, shame you don't apply your own standards to yourself.

    Also, it appears I was correct in my original assertion - blatant trolling and a pretty poor effort at that.

    Nine years jail for this van driver who'd been caught eight times using his mobile phone and killed the cyclist while distracted by his phone:

    I feel the penalty for using a mobile phone in a car is weak given it's a deliberate act and it's hugely distracting, I regularly see people going wide on a junction or missing a lane on a roundabout with one hand on a phone and the other appearing to steer and shift gears.
