10.9.07 what small dfw thing will you do or have you done today?

Good Morning fellow DFW Peeps and welcome old timers and newbies alike :hello:

Welcome to a brand new week !!!!!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

So, today I will:
  • do piggy comps, clicks and surveys
  • send everyone off with packed lunches
  • go to work thereby saving electricity at home :D
  • do storecupboard meal from menu plan - today beef casserole in slow cooker
Have a good day everyone xx

  • Popped into pesky Tesky's on my way to work and bought all my sandwichy lunch stuff for the week so no expensive pret sarnies for me this week - even bypassed the coffee shop, although I could murder one now!

Hi hypno, hi all. I'm going to find it difficult today, because the men are here destroying the porch! Hurray! Anyway:
    - did finance practice before they were due to come, would have made £110.
    - will do piggy clicks - don't need to think too hard.
    - have to wait in for the Building Control people, but will try to send off an Amazon sale.
    - will go offline after piggyclicks and work on my work website.

I'm sure I'll update this (this thread can become a blog for me, sometimes), but thats all for now.

  • today I will do the following:
    • investigate more online market research/survey/points sites. Am still getting to grips with these, have lots bookmarked but need to sift through and sort out which ones are good.
    • put a cardi and pair of shoes on ebay.
    • sort through the drawer under my bed which is packed with books and put as many as possible up for sale on amazon (my new best friend!)
    • write to bank to cancel loan protection payments.
    • am starting my phd next week, will get online to work out which tickets I need to get the cheapest possible train fares to university.
    • check out cashback website as recommended to me in a leaflet from new university student union.
thats about it, have to fit in some housework, cooking dinner and computer work as well so may not achieve everything.

Can anyone recommend a good website where I can look up and compare train fares?

Heres to another good wek of money saving!
