VERYLONG term parking Heathrow

Hi everyone. Any ideas for leaving a car near Heathrow for two months?
By a train station? In your drive?

I have used purple parking in the past for 5-6 week hols, like budget airlines if you book well in advance you can get a good deal, [pay for two weeks and the rest are free]. I was pleased with the service and security. I hope you find cheap & cheerful and secure.
  • For Purple Parking use the discount code "TIPO" as previously mentioned on these boards.

the best place to park and ive had relatives do it quite abit is to park in hayes, UB3 on Blyth Road if there are no spaces there then hte next best place is to park again in hayes but on silverdale road inbetweed chalfont road and little road (again had relatives do it) there is a bus that takes you directly to heathrow in 20 mins and both them places are 2 mins from bus stop just goto google maps and change to hybrid so you can see where ppl are parked....i used ot live there for a good few years

In this kind of situation, the intelligent solution is to use public transport to get to the airport.

If you park on any road for too long the local Council can lawfully remove your vehicle and you will end up paying more to get it back (assuming its not been crushed) than the parking charges. It's no good saying they won't or they can't. They may and they can. Better to get something a bit more reliable.

It's an option but depending on where you live it can be more or less practical.
If you need to park then look for somewhere with a max price.
Purple parking are very good and very secure.

Other options are train, coach, taxi, one-way hire care, get a friend or relative to giev you a lift (anyone you know that you benefit from the loan of your car for that time?).

I have to say that I have generally found public transport to be more expensive (when buying multiple tickets), inconvenient and inflexible (although probably greener), so I am not sure why it's the obvious "intelligent" solution.
I always do my research and almost always end up going by car. Usually 2 train tickets are more expensive.
