Scottish conveyancing recommendations

Hello,

I am hoping to get some recommendations from personal experience of good conveyancing firms or Solicitors, who can deal with property conveyancing in Scotland and who can also deal with commercial property purchases.

The property I'm purchasing is a low value one, I have been quoted £350 from an online firm( that pops up 1st in google ads), however the online reviews are not so great !

Has anyone used a good reasonably priced firm , they would recommend ?

Many Thanks

If it's a commercial property you're buying then shopping around among the residential property solicitors isn't going to be very useful - they'd mostly be out of their depth, so you need to look at firms which actually have commercial property capability (and probably expect to pay a fair bit more, depending on what it is you're buying).

    Thanks for the reply.
It is a residential property, that I'm currently interested in buying, however I'm also considering purchasing a small retail unit (low value) in the very near future.

I thought it would be best to try and find a solicitor, who had the capacity to deal with both, at this stage ( whilst I'm shopping around)

Do you think it would be best to use a separate firm, when I'm ready to put the offer in on the commercial property ?

    Thanks
  • Has anyone used a good conveyancing firm recently, that they would recommend ?

    Thanks !

I am in Glasgow and we used the Glasgow Law Practice for our sale and purchase.

They were very good, could get them on the phone anytime and they replied to emails, I have heard a lot of solicitors dont get back to folk. Very professional. No hiccups and all went smoothly.
  • Thank you for the replies.

I had been looking at online conveyancing firms, That's why I didn't limit it to a specific geographical area.

I will get a quote from the Glasgow law practice, the consensus looks like, only use a local law practice.
