Beko washer warranty repair - not a great experience so far!

Hi all,
My beko washer broke down on 14/06/16 at 10 months old. I rang up the warranty line and the first appointment was 20/06. Not great, all day appointment, but I took it.
The engineer came out and told us that the motor was broken and he didn't have one on his van, I would be called today 21/06 to make a new appointment. I have rang them this afternoon to be told the part is low stock, they are trying to source one and should hear back within 48 hours.
How long am I expected to wait with no washing machine? It took them 6 days for the first appointment, if that is the case here I could be without the washer for over 2 weeks by the time I hear from them and they come out to fit it. I don't have much faith in the washer going forward if its broken before the warranty is even over!!
Thanks
Louise

Your statutory rights are with the seller.
The manufacturer's warranty terms are as specified therein.
I really do think that it is time for you to read MSE's Consumer Rights guide.0 -
Where did you buy this machine?

Hi,
I bought the machine via Very online. I do think a warranty repair should not be taking longer than a week especially on an item like a washing machine. And that was where I really want to know my rights, is it reasonable to ask for the washing machine to be replaced if this drags on?
Thanks

You have no chance of getting the washing machine replaced. The warranty will tell you what to expect.
If you go down the consumer rights avenue then it's a whole new ball game with the onus on you to rove the fault existed at time of purchase etc. It's a hassle that you can do without and even if you did get all that right they still get to fix it in a reasonable time.
Don't get a warranty mixed up with your consumer rights they are two totally separate issues.0 -
on the two occasions i have had to have an engineer out to replace the motor on my washuing machine, its taken around two weeks for the repair to be carried out they are always low stock item as normally the retail on the motor is 80% of the whole washing machine so they tend to order them in when they get a warrenty repair (thats what i was advised by the last engineer who came out)0
