Asda refund

Ok so back in may I placed an Asda delivery for Thursday 5th May. On that day I got an intense migraine and was taken to hospital. We called Asda and asked for it to be delivered the next day instead. Unfortunately I was admitted to hospital. So the next day at 11am I called Asda and cancelled because I did not know when I was going to be discharged from the hospital. Later that day at 6pm my food got delivered anyway to my housemate (Friday 6th May). She called me after it was delivered and straight away I was on the phone to Asda asking them to pick up the food because I had already cancelled the order. It took 3 days to finally pick up the food.

Now, here is the problem. For some reason I was charged for the 5th May 'delivery' and 6th May delivery. 5th may delivery: £110.50 , 6th may delivery : £109.50 (the difference is because of the delivery charge)

I have been on the phone for weeks, I have emailed I have done everything and I have only been refunded £112.98 out of £220. Asda say they have no record of the second transaction. I have sent them my bank statement and I do not know what else to do. It has been over a month and I am in Peru for 3 months so I cannot call them anymore. I can only contact them through email.

Can anyone help me please?

Is the money actually debited from your account or is it sitting as pending?

If you have it in writing from them that no delivery was made, you could always try a chargeback with your bank.

Contact your card provider. I doubt you'll have much luck with Asda.

I've spoken to so many people having problems with Asda refunds lately, including another person today. I'm convinced there's a problem with their own systems. It happened to me 3 times recently. Asda still are adamant they refunded but my bank statements don't show anything. My card provider refunded me in full.
