So the only way to understand what they are is to try both, although i doubt that 7 day trial would show anything and spending $38-78 a week is beyond my current budget.
If you know of any other such sites, please recommend them.0 -
I'm sure the bookies will use some statistical analysis and algorithms prior to setting the odds so you can guarantee than you will be on the wrong side of the odds in the long run. Not really an 'investment' question.
Maybe in years gone by or for initial market formation but now everyone just follows betfair, or if they leave a price out and you take it, you'll be labeled an arber - quick way to small limits or even lose your account.
People used to make huge amounts of money being in play on tennis while court side or with as fast stream, trading their places. Betfair then introduced premium charge and in play delays (some markets don't) making it difficult. Used to be able to fire bets off and cancel before being taken, or leave if it was to your advantage. Again, another loophole BF closed. There are still one or two , but no one will ever tell you what they are!
Head over to the matched betting forum, even though it isn't as lucrative as the good old days, you'll still make a hell of a lot more than gambling - I'm well over £1000 up already over last few weeks thanks to euros and ascot0 -
I was fairly successful with matched betting a few years ago.
Betting on both players at different bookies where the odds guaranteed a profit.
Key risk is if a player got injured different bookies would have different rules. One would declare a void bet, others would say injured player lost.
I turned over £1m a year to earn £8,000 a year, so an average margin of 0.8% on those matches selected.
I stopped because many bookies banned me and credit card companies started treating it as a cash advance transaction.0
