I recently got a smart meter fit into my property. I got a phone call from no
020 3489 5360 (has not found this number on google yet) who said he is from Thames water. He said that he could arrange a visit and check the water Leak, on my Kitchen and Bathroom and provide advice on Water Saving in my House. I said that I will consider it and will call back, He asked me to call this number 0800 622 6623

Quick Check, I found this
http://www.thameswater.co.uk/metering/17037.htm

So it seems it is genuine. I just want to ask people who has got the same request.

I understand they will check the leak and will provide advice on water saving, which is a good thing. But say.
- They found a leak, are they actually fit it for you free of charge including all materials needed and man hour ??

- Suppose they advice on installing smart technology to in saving water usage are they actually fit it this one for free as well ??

Just to add, my old contract is on unmetered fix tariff, do not really pay any cost for fixing leakage and/or inefficiency. I am interested that any water leakage in efficiency to be fixed if it has effected me but do not want to pay a penny for this, as I could see thi esaving s more of the Thames Water interest rather than me.
Thanks
