Going to make it my mission to remove the Nram loan this year, when it was packaged with the mortgage it wasn't to much of a problem + I haven't always had a good income. I remember in late 2009 having to sell the furniture to pay the mortgage and buy food.....Great days.0

Quick update, over the past few months i have paid off £11k in unsecured debt (so around £28k left to go) still have the cap1 default which comes off the file in Jan 2017.
Did the eligibility checker again and still 0% chance for the Amex BA card. Thought i would apply as no harm will be done with a decline as I was going to wait 6 months anyway. Also decided to up the stakes and went for the Premium BA card. Anyway instantly accepted with £19k limit!
Goes to show the eligibility calc isn't always right, when I ran it last night it gives the option of Tesco and Yorkshire @ 90%, HSBC @ 50% and AA @30% everything else eligible!0
