Slowing iPad 2

Since upgrading to the lastest ios on my ipad2 everything has slowed down markedly. I sort advice on various apple forums tried all tweeks suggested all to no avail, being cynical believing this is an Apple plot to get me to buy a new iPad I vowed to move onto Samsung Galaxy,but after much deliberation I stayed with Apple and bought the Air 2 and what a difference. My advice to other owners of iPad 2's do not upgrade to later ios.
