    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker Car Insurance Carver! Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi everyone.

    Been quiet for a few weeks as I have been visiting family.
    Am now home for a few weeks before I am away for another week. A life of dissipation for me.
    I have gone wildly over food budget in June and also hobby budget. Seems to be the effect of travel! Oops.
    Am staying right on budget for all else so not completely off the rails.
    Have a great evening all .

    Hi June Jubilatants,

    A remarkably easy day at work today :D; I'll take an easy day over a difficult one any time!

    Then came home to Tea-Cup-Mageddon. :rotfl: How does my DW get them in such a state?! I know she loves black tea, but this is ridiculous. All of her three mugs coated in Tannins, I only cleaned them a month ago. It looks like we don't wash up!

    Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:

    * Checked online banking.

    * Scoured teacups with some 'dry' washing powder. Then added boiling water and left it to soak before scouring with some more 'dry' washing powder. Why washing powder? Tannins are biomolecules that bind to proteins. To remove the tannins you need something which removes proteins, like the enzymes in biological washing powder. If you have a stain to remove this file gives scientific advice from Cornell University on the most efficient ways of doing so. (Link) There is also a list of stains that can never be removed which you would be wasting your time trying to remove.

    * Did RM Surveys.

    * Bought nothing in the canteen at work.

    How about you folks?

    Evening all :)
    Thanks for the start Speky :) DNMS, I see you started a thread too, and it hasn't been merged. They obviously haven't noticed :(

    Frustrating day today, as our home phone has stopped working. Thinking it is probably the actual phone, as it is old and has been on the blink before, plus the broadband is working fine, I bought a new one this afternoon. Turns out it is a problem outside of the house :mad: And they haven't let me know yet when they might get round to fixing it :( Grrr :mad:

    Anyway, apart from that:
    HM meals from stores, had our own potatoes, salad leaves, mangetout and parsley with the fish that OH caught yesterday and strawberries from my hanging baskets for pudding :D
    Read meters and input readings to energy company's web site
    ALMOST finished sorting out the tax /business stuff for the accountant :T Just got to look in the folder for coding notices, and print out my notes and queries, and get it all to her. It will be a huge weight off once this is done for the year :D
    Posted 3 ebay parcels, items sold yesterday. No sales yet today, but the night is young!
    Bought a big bowlful of bananas for £1 while out - I will be looking after GD tomorrow, and she eats them like a monkey :rotfl:
    Ordered a big batch of packaging materials from ebay, as this will be loads cheaper than buying small quantities locally. This is a business cost, so not unduly worried about this spend.
    Nice long walk with dog for free exercise, much needed after I stuffed a whole bar of chocolate earlier :o Don't know why I did this, as it is not usual for me. Must avoid in future! Pup made lots of friends as usual, including a lady who insisted I should dress him in a blue bow - I can't see OH being very happy about walking a dog decked out in ribbons :rotfl:
    Watered the pots that needed it in the back garden

    Need an early night I think!

    Evening all

    Thanks for the threads Speky and DNMS

    The weather has been kind to us today and I managed to dry 3 loads of laundry and just as importantly they have all been put away.

    Today was a NSD, children had their evening martial arts class but I pay this in a block, that way I qualify for 2 discounts. A HE friend came round this afternoon with her children so ours could have sometime together playing, the children appeared to be having good fun and I enjoyed putting the world to rights with my friend.

    I'm and tired and away off to my bed, thankfully my room is at the opposite end of the house to ds' as he is currently singing songs he is making up as he goes along :cool: surprisingly tuneful but I need my sleep.
