This one makes it clearer on what you can use.

Seems to be a technical issue rather than an Ebay issue.
OP give us the Ebay item number.0 -
You're asking for technical help in an ebay forum.
Either contact the seller or find a forum about the phone - you'll get better help in either place.0 -
Or check the spec in the listing where it probably shows something like my link above?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Take screenshots of it saying 'locked' or whatever and send it to vendor - they may have a simple solution.
It's certainly unusual for a dual SIM to have one SIM locked - SIM locking is to prevent you from using other networks, so makes no sense in the context of a dual SIM device!
OK I've obtained another O2 (tesco) sim. it works in slot 2.
Also tried a 3 uk sim in slot one-does not work.
Seems the problem is the phone does not support 3G in either slot. But it works in another phone.
So it would seem the phone does not support 3g as advertised. So to repeat the original question - What are my ebay options please.I am not a cat (But my friend is)0 -
Your eBay options are simple. You can claim for SNAD if the item isn't as described. If it was described as UNLOCKED and it isn't, then you can open a case.
eBay Money Back Guarantee is a dispute process and isn't a warranty for your item. Unlike a recent thread on here regarding a faulty phone, yours is a clearer SNAD as the item was sold as unlocked and isn't.
You say you paid by debit card, I assume you mean you paid by Paypal but funded by your debit card?
You can go to your purchase history in Ebay and select the item, then from the drop down highlight 'there is a problem with my item' or similar wording. Open a case for SNAD, not a return. Explain the item was sold as unlocked and it isn't. Be brief and don't waffle about anything unrelated.
Edit - edited to say we cross posted, but your issue is still SNAD, as the item doesn't support 3G when it was advertised as being 3G. Are you happy to share the the item number? It won't disclose who you are but may help the techies here and those that want to give SNAD help.0
