You've had it but you don't seem to want to take it. Why not tell us what it is that you'd like to hear, that way somebody may post the right thing for you? Of course, it'll probably be completely wrong, but if it satisfies you...

do realise no one is I likely to consider fixing the scratch, the resolution will involve replacing the lens.

I use boots lens wipes to clean the glasses and Polish away any streaks with the cloth that came with the glasses.

I never put them face down.

I take them to bed to watch TV and they are on the bed by my pillow. The only thing I can think of that would probably scratch them is if I went to sleep in my Pandora bracelet. And if that is what caused this tiny scratch then this "scratch resistant coating" is not worth the paper it's written on.

I have not neglected the glasses. I wear contact lenses most of the time so it is not "wear and tear" as suggested by boots. Nor is it neglect as suggested by some respondees to this thread.

There you go then. A sharp metal bracelet will scratch glass. Try scraping it down your window or your tv screen and I bet you'll see a lovely big scratch. Perhaps without the coating it would be a deep gouge rather than a tiny scratch.

Would it also be Boots fault if you rolled over in your sleep and you broke the frames or knocked them to the floor? Keeping them on your pillow at night is hardly taking care of them.
