Hi,
Like many we're losing the Capital One cashback. American Express looks to be a good option, but I notice that they exclude purchases from what they call "Warehouse Retailers". So I have a couple of questions for people who use one of these cashback cards ..
(1) Have you determined which retailers count as "warehouse"?
and (2) Do you receive cashback on payments made through Paypal?
Thanks,
Tony S

It is more than likely that those 'warehouse retailers' do not accept Amex anyway.0 -

"You can find out which retailers we treat as warehouse retailers by checking the FAQ section of our website(americanexpress.co.uk) or calling us on the telephone number on the back of your card."
According to the terms and conditions for the Platinum Cashback and the Platinum Cashback Everyday credit cards, these cards can be used at "warehouse retailers", the only difference being that purchases at such retailers qualify for a lower rate of cashback:
"except for purchases made at warehouse retailers in the United Kingdom where you will earn Cashback at the rate of 0.5%".0 -
From http://americanexpress-uk.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1273/kw/warehouse/session/L3RpbWUvMTQ2NjQzMzIxNC9zaWQvNUhFTV93VG0%3D:
"Which retailers are treated as warehouse retailers? We treat Costco as a warehouse retailer."0 -
There is a specific Costco Amex (which I have) if you want cashback there0

When I go to costco, I use my Barclaycard Amex card & get 1% cashback, which makes me chuckle.0
