So what specific EU laws or shackles do you think about in your daily life that were negatively impacting you?

it prevents my MP helping to change laws in the UK parliament.
it prevent the UK zero rating products that reduce energy consumption and so reducing CO2 emissions and global warming as well as making people warmer in their homes.
it prevents large number od young people being able to live in family sized houses in london and the SE
it causes the green and pleasant lands near me to be concreted over.
it causes my journey times to be longer than otherwise with more fuel being used and CO2 and other pollutants being emmitted.
    and so on

    Apparently, webuyanyhouse are now advertising.

Below Market Value, they state, which basically means that in certain parts of Salford; Blackburn; or Liverpool you pay them!

Usually those kind of companies offer 70% for a quick sale.

Doing equity release with a company will cost a lot and there will be conditions about moving and upkeep (5 yearly decorating internally in your 80s?).

If there is any possibility of doing something privately with the kids then you'd get much better value (preferably market value) but make sure it's all documented and at "arms length" i.e. official valuations, so you cannot be accused of deliberate deprivation if you need care from the local authority later in life.

Our parents almost did equity release. A few hundred per month in return for 75% of their property.
In the end they moved in their early 70's which turns out to have been a better move.
Less cleaning, lower household bills and very low cost.

Your wife's refusal to move will be very expensive - that's not a judgment as I understand it's a family home, but the equity release company don't work for free.
