Question about DRO and surplus wages.

Hi all,
I have a question regarding my recently approved DRO that I'm hoping someone can answer.

My DRO was approved a fortnight ago. My employer has made a mistake in my first wage since the order came into effect. It's not a huge amount, £70 overpayment, but with my surplus income having been worked out at £42 I'm well over the limit of £50.

Is this likely to cause a problem? Should I just ask my employer to deduct it from next months wages?

I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but it's taken nearly seven months between approaching CAB and having the application approved and I don't want to see it derailed in the first month lol.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If it's a one off it doesn't matter. You're quite far away from the limits of having a DRO revoked. If you had extra income each month, yes, a problem.

Contact your intermediary and let them know of the mistake. Contact the DRO team at the IS and also let them know, likely a very quick conversation ending in telling you 'thanks for informing us, it's not a problem and we've noted the amount'.
