Hotpoint tumble dryer

I had one of the dryers which needed sorting. It was less than 3 years old. I registered the very first day for a repair and nothing. I had appointments made but nobody showed up.
Anyhow, I eventually bought a new tumble dryer.
In the meantime, an engineer turned up! He demanded to come in and fix the dryer, I explained I had got rid of it! He was rude and quite aggressive. My teenage daughter and I were quite shocked by this ranting man but he went away eventually once he had his say!!!
I wrote a letter to Hotpoint. I stated I was incredibly unhappy with how they had handled this and I did complain about the engineers behaviour.
I received a phone call from Hotpoint. They asked if I had a receipt for the new dryer and could I email it to them.
The new dryer is not a Hotpoint.
I did and a month later received a cheque for the full cost of the new one.
Just thought it might help someone else trying to get their dryer sorted :-)
