    he is not being a taxi as you say,he is driving a car that is not insured but he is on his trade insurance and can drive veichles like this.

    He can drive vehicles as part of his trade, surely?

    What part of collecting a car for his brother comes under his motor trade? Is he buying it from the dealer and selling it to the brother? Or is he merely transporting it?

    Well... things might have changed now anyway.

    I have been quoted £2.72 to swap my current insurance from the day I pick up the car. They have also taken note that I will be changing the number plate over. I did find it strange that she said she couldn't give me a quote for the new car though.
    My husband can take me to pick up the car so I only need to sort out taxing the car.
