Evening - the keeper received a UKPC invoice for parking on private land entitled Final Reminder and saying that a previous letter has been sent. However this has not been received so this is the first letter received so is the NTK. (No windscreen ticket.) Should I mention this in my appeal to UKPC? Any advice gratefully received.

            Date of parking incident?
Date of receipt of first correspondence?
England/Wales or Scotland/NI?
Retail park/hospital/residential/other(describe)?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hi not sure if im in the correct place but if anybody could Please advise me. I have had so many conflicting information regrading this, I received a parking fine in February and have since, as advised, ignored all correspondence. As I am told they cannot prove I was driving or that only the Police & Council can fine me. Ive been told they cant take me to court as this is too costly for a £60 fine, and they are just out to scare me. I am also told they are powerless and have no authority - I do not want a CCJ against my name - its not the money its the principle. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you0

The above in bold is wrong, including posting on someone elses thread, start your own and you will get help, start by reading the newbies thread and come back then.
You won't automatically get a CCJ unless you completely mess up either!0 -

Yep it won't hurt to add that line.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

            Ticket
Place: England
Retail park
Date of ticket :April 2016
Letter received 1.6.16
Additional problem - company now say too late to appeal online and today got a debt collection letter. Am planning on sending appeal by post to company who issued ticket, sending letter as advised to debt collection agency and writing to retailer on retail park too. Any advice gratefully received.0 -
I would email (not write snail mail to) the retail Head Office(s) of all stores on site. We know of PCNs cancelled by stores who hate PPCs even though the customer didn't actually shop there. Just complain and say the occupants of the car were browsing but are now minded never to return...do they realise the very low level of this firm:

Rant a bit, how dare the retail park allow this? And this despicable firm has stated you have no right to appeal as they have gone straight to debt collection threat stage, so your only hope of getting this ridiculous 'fine' quashed is for whoever contracted UKPC there, to step in.
Finish by saying if the retailer themselves has no method to cancel these awful 'charges' then please can they immediately forward your email to the Managing Agent/landowner who can cancel it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

sending letter as advised to debt collection agency
Whoaaa - where did you get that advice? Ignore debt collectors is the standard forum advice, that includes not writing to or phoning them.
The other actions you propose are good. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I thought I read it was time to 'robustly respond' to debt collection letters, but maybe that was another forum !! MSE rules as far as I'm concerned so I defo won't write to them if that is forum advice. Can UKPC set an arbitrary time for appeal anyway? Not that I'm going to take any notice and will send it anyway by registered post.... Much appreciate all the advice .0

Nope, you robustly respond to a Letter before Claim from a Solicitor because any Judge (if a case later goes to a small claim) will expect a person to engage under the pre-action protocol. You do not respond to a daft debt collector gnat. Swipe it away, file the letter (keep it).
Don't send stuff Recorded Delivery! WE NEVER SUGGEST THAT!
Here is an email for UKPC if you wish to send them one challenge as keeper (NOT DRIVER):
appealmoreinfo@ukparkingcontrol.com
Is their online appeal page not working? That is how to appeal. Easy enough to find, you can also look at their photos.
