My forms went back on 7th April and I'm still waiting to hear from them.My sons was returned by February 20th, still waiting!
This is awful!
It should be no more than 13 weeks from when you first send in your ESA50, to when you hear your result.
Several people I know have applied and are on it, and it was between 10 and 15 weeks from start to finish. (I live in the south of England.)
My neighbour sent her ESA50 in on 29th Feb, and got a letter after 8 weeks (around 25th April,) saying she has an assessment on 9th May (so approx 2 weeks after she received the letter.) Then she heard her result around 5th June... (The letter was dated the 31st of May.. so it must have been sent around 3 weeks after her assessment.) So around 13 weeks from start to finish.
Sending your form in on 20th February, and then 4 months later you still don't have a date for an assessment or anything, is absolutely dreadful. What a lot of stress!
I really feel for you all. What a nightmare!You didn't, did you? :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
It's taken me 3 years to even get them to send me an ESA50. Now 2 months after sending it back (under threat of refusing future payments) I have heard nothing.0

He worked for just under 12 months and had a relapse. Now he's in no mans land and as such he's getting worse. They are kicking the will out if him at best making him suicidal at worst. The UC50 should come quite quickly after claiming when circumstances apply. I suggest you check that the DWP understand that he wants to have a WCA. Has he been supplying DWP with Fit Notes stating GP's opinion that his health limits his ability to work?Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -

please can anyone who has done so, this year, or recently, tell me how long they had to waited from sending out the work capability assessement, ot being called in for a interview / recieved a response ?
or anyone know the approximate processing times currently ?.
thankyou very much for any help.
Sent in formin June and reply and all sorted on 9th of September, so about 3 months.
Hope this helps but TBH how long is a piece of string, think it depends on workload, where you live, staff sickness and now this payment backlog and of course xmas is coming.
Easy to say and not do but put it at the back of your mind, deal with what happens at the time or do what i did which was make notes of whats the worst thing could happen, what the next steps would be, make notes and what would you need to do next, then put them to one side.
Then wait i didnt need the notes i made.0 -
