They will doubtless have another study out soon that finds the department was entirely blameless but lessons have been learnt and its now time to move on.........:cool:0

Like anyone who tries to prove a point the DWP is full of half truths or things that can be interpreted to what they want.
So in that context it would be "true" to say that cutting benefits makes a now ex benefit claimaint take a job because even if taking the job meant they couldn't pay rent and just had enough for food it was their only means of survival often at best they would have money to cover rent and money for basic food like brad and noodles but then the government/DWP would see it as a "success" and people who demonise benefit claimaints could also use it to say the people still on benefits are workshy/lazy either way its a negative hidden as a positive.0 -
A research study based on 234 subjects only is never going to be considered reliable. In addition, this was only looking at people affected by the benefit cap, not those sanctioned for JSA.
I thought the cap was mainly to ensure that people claiming benefits couldn't be better off than those in the same position working full-time on NMW rather than an incentive to push them to find employment.0
