Tesco credit card refused

Hi
I applied for Teco credit card and was instancely refused.:( I wished I have never applied as I don't know what chances I have to get it.Tesco don't provided eligibility check so only option is to apply and check. This leave a hard search on my credit report. My advice will be to check eligibility score and then apply.Applying tesco credit is a bit risk so try to avoid this unless you really have good credit history.Later Tesco email me and offer tesci foundation credit card at 27.9 % .But I am not interested in night rate cards.

Later I checked Natwest eligibility score and it given me 8/10 so I applied and refuse as well.I am thinkng this is due to 3 credit applications in one month. One accepted MBNA and two rejected.I am very annoyed on Netwest given me 8/10 score for clear rate credit card and then refusing me.

    you were the 2/10 decline
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

    And barclaycard......

You have defaults which you seem to think don't matter, they do.

What's a night rate card? Is this where you only get charged interest if you use it at night? You got an MBNA card presumably with the highest limit and lowest APR they think you should have. So you maxed your chances. Other than that, 3 hard searches in a month is likely to ring the lenders' alarm bells where they think you might by design max the credit and then default. Be content with what you have and don't push your luck. Try a new application in 4 months.

27.9% is certainly not the lowest rate though no where near the highest rates.

Maybe you should be asking yourself why you were rejected, maybe too many apps as you suggested, maybe how you've been using and paying existing credit.

Ok, but you said you'd paid lowells. It sounds as though you were defaulted, barclaycard sold the debt on and you then paid lowells.

Barclaycard could have recorded the default some time after your missed payments so it could be that this is still on your credit reports, worth checking in any case.
