Aqua card increase?

in Credit cards
I received a letter today informing me that i could apply for a credit card increase. The letter stated that the increase would be applied automatically, after 40 days, or i could call a number and ask for a immediate increase. I tried calling, and only received an automated message telling me the number had changed and to call a new number, which i did, however i am only receiving options for changing my pin, or to access my statement details?
Anyone had this issue? Any other options for automatically applying the increase? I tried online but couldn't find anything on my account page for managing my credit limit.

I did.
I just gave up in the end. I think if you phone during working hours you can speak to a CS rep who will action it immediately.
I don't think the "automated" part of the letter is in any way correct.0 -
Huh, seems like a really broken system. Surely they would do better than to give you the wrong number, and wrong info on their letters?0

Mine automatically increased on the day the letter said it would.0

Try sending them a message when you access your account online. If you are eligible they will increase it within 1-2 days.0

Got the letter as well, rang the automated line, and it worked fine.
If you ring the phone number on the back of your card, when it asks if you are ringing because you lost the card select other options. Then there is an option about credit limits and then if you received a letter about an increase press the number. It tells you the new limit and it is applied instantly. Very very easy. But remember only call during working hours.0 -
Was the Number 0845 601 0436 Hope you have a free phone call package - 0845 = expensive charges
alternative number 0333 220 2691
Have you checked your phone Bill, I guess it helps to pay for their staff :beer:0 -
I don't see what the problem is. I've been through loads of increases. In my experience if you don't want the increase phone or return the slip at the bottom of the letter. Or alternatively if you want the increase do nothing.0

I got one of these letters recently. The 0845 number works just fine if you change it to 0345

Following Option 2 as stated on the letter then gave the credit limit options.0 -
I've had one of these letter and rang to take them up on the increase - Aqua usually sends out an increase every 4-6 months0

If you are receiving letters directing you to call an 0845 number, be sure to complain to the FCA.
FCA regulations effective 26 October 2015 require an 01, 02, 03 or 080 number for contact by existing customers.0
